The rare non-exchangeable brand (NFT) created by Naomi Osaka will once again be sold at the Basic.Space auction, and part of the net proceeds will go to mental awareness and support for athletes around the world.

Osaka and her sister Mari Osaka dropped a six-piece collection of 1-of-1 NFT products in early April. The first five NFTs were auctioned at retail Basic mode and sold for nearly $ 600,000 together, one piece brought in more than $ 200,000.

The sixth and final Osaka NFT was offered in a public raffle, and now the winner of the raffle will put the work of art up for sale through a global auction. The silent auction, which anyone can buy, opens on Monday, July 26 at 9 a.m. ET. Interested parties may submit a bid here.

“This is a very unique song, and the story behind it brings a lot of value to the future of sports raised through the NFT,” Shea Newkirk, founder, said. “While professional athletes have had huge NFT sales over the past six months, Naomi Osaka’s continued and positive public presence is likely to drive this auction to a new NFT record.”

The athlete’s NFT record was reached last week when boxer Tyson Fury sold a single edition for $ 987,000. In March, footballer Patrick Mahomes sold 1-of-1 NFT for $ 247,000, but Rob Gronkowski trumped it by selling $ 430,000. UFC fighter Francis Ngannou and tennis player Andy Murray have also sold one-piece NFTs in six-figure series.

Part of the proceeds from the sale of Osaka NFT will be donated Athletes for hope. The donation will go directly to the non-profit organization’s recently launched Whole Being Athlete initiative, which supports athletes and raises mental health awareness.

“Athletes are struggling with their mental health now more than ever. When one in five people is diagnosed with a mental illness, it has become the number one reason for advocacy, communication and support requested by our athlete network, ”said Hason COO athletes, Jason Belinkie. “Naomi Osaka, through her courage, has ignited the necessary discussions about the importance of the mental health of athletes around the world. We are honored to be able to continue this vital work in the field of mental health with the funds generated by this NFT.”

The title of the digital work of art to be auctioned is “Find the Lost”, and Osaka’s sister said that this edition was Naomi’s favorite of the six. The NFT description written by Mari includes:

“While he may sometimes get lost, Naomi always manages to find himself back on the path he’s looking for.”

In an interview, Mari said each song tells a “different story” based on Naomi’s interests, likes and dislikes. All NFTs are signed by both Naomi and Mari.

Osaka’s NFTs were created for the environmentally conscious Flow block chain, which is the same block chain that produces non-replaceable characters in the NBA Top Shot.
