LEGO continues its summer truck fun by revealing two more new truck-themed sets: Technic Heavy-Duty tow truck and Mercedes-Benz Zetros Trial Truck 4 × 4. Both sets are fun additions to the LEGO vehicle lines and will be available on August 1.
The LEGO Technic Heavy Duty Tow Truck features 2,017 parts and a colorful paint job. Realistic pneumatic and mechanical characteristics and a classic design help to make the towing experience more authentic. It also features other realistic details, with an authentic grille, air filters, six movable engine pistons and a movable crane.
You can steer the truck by turning the pin on the roof, and once you’ve found your next customer to help you, you can also activate the crane to pump the pneumatic boom, pull the winch, and extend the stabilizers. And the coolest of all? The truck has a lift axle that lowers additional wheels and distributes the weight of the tow load. This set measures 8.5 inches high, 23 inches long and 5.5 inches wide.
With the LEGO Technic 4 × 4 Mercedes-Benz Zetros test truck, you will be able to overcome the most difficult tests on the craziest courses without breaking a sweat. Using the Technic CONTROL + application (Android/ios), you can steer the vehicle and activate the differential lock. The truck measures over 8 inches high, 19 inches long and 7 inches wide.
The set contains 2,110 parts and requires six AA batteries to operate; it also includes three big motors, one medium motor and a smart hub controlled by bluetooth. The Trial Truck is an exciting challenge for advanced builders who will certainly also have fun driving it around the house, in the backyard or through a custom obstacle course.
LEGO has yet to officially create landing pages for either truck, or open any pre-orders (or state if it ever will). All we know is that the heavy duty tow truck costs $ 149.99 and the Zetros test truck is priced at $ 299.99. Until August 1, keep your eyes peeled for more details!
