As the adoption of Indian technology accelerates, every digital platform is looking for ways to establish a stronger foothold in the Indian market and increase its use in the Indian market 1.4 billion citizens.
The region has huge potential for infectious platforms, and much of this is a rising creative economy and an incentive to keep influencers submitting to their applications.
Where Twitter is looking for this new addition – this week Twitter has increased support for the Indian payment company Razorpay to the Tip Jar option for user profiles, which gives Indian users more ways to integrate payments into the app.
As you can see here, in addition to existing payment service providers, users with access to Twitter’s Tip Jap option can now also opt for Razorpay, extending payment facilitation in the region.
As explained Twitter:
“By integrating Razorpay, we hope to offer the people of India a simple and secure way to send money as a thank you or gift. Tip Jar is available in several Indian languages including Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi and Tamil. “
But it is not yet available to everyone. Twitter’s Tip Jar, which it launched last month, is still only available for a limited test group, including the selected one creators, editors, public figures, and community leaders. But all users can post tips for applicable accounts, both iOS and iOS on Twitter – so while not everyone can yet commercialize their Twitter audience with this option, for those who can, it opens up a significant opportunity.
India is currently on Twitter the third largest user market, Behind the U.S. and Japan, and with Indian players looking for new opportunities for the popularity of TikTok and other social apps and the impact of the pandemic, now is the right time to add new features to the platform to fit those trends.
Twitter also notes that its Tip Jar is now available on Spaces on Android, while a wider option is coming soon.
