The site that allows you to do online HTML editing is presumably a manual action from unnatural links. So the site owner made a statement to his user base in a big box saying “goodbye” that the site “has been penalized for unnatural link creation and will soon be removed from Google search.”
It’s like the site owner feels like they’re getting an eviction notice and need to post the notice on their own website. But the site didn’t have to post this and the site wasn’t technically removed from Google search, I mean still indexed. But it sent this announcement:
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a site send such a notice to their users that Google punished them and the site leaves.
I’m not sure if this is some kind of link building strategy 🙂 or something else, but this is interesting.
