5nine Cloud Security is the first and only agent-free security and compliance solution built specifically for Microsoft Cloud Platform and Hyper-V virtual machines running Windows and Linux. The solution provides multi-layered protection with an integrated virtual firewall, agentless antivirus and malware protection, and an Intrusion Detection System (IDS) in one package!
In today’s blog post, I’ll share with you the latest features and enhancements that have been added 5nine Cloud Security v6 for Hyper-V.
1- NEW ANALYSIS AND NETWORK TRAFFIC ANOMALY WARNING
5nine Cloud Security creates a base layer for a normal network traffic model in a virtualized environment, and when it detects an anomaly, it notifies the administrator of a potential threat.
You can detect various threats from suspicious online behavior and other advanced threats.
5nine constantly records and monitors statistics about your historical traffic, packages and their size. If the values exceed the configurable alarm sensitivity setting, it will immediately notify you of the possibility of an attack.
With 5nine Cloud Security, you can now meet your company’s security and compliance requirements by being able to analyze and report your historical data using a network forensic tool.
2 – PROTECT NEW SECURITY AND CUMULATION ROADS
5nine Cloud Security has once again improved its own security by checking that its own security reporting information is not being scammed. This ensures that the data entering the system is not falsified in any form by an error checking code.
This can also be used to control communication between different virtual machines. It helps ensure that data has not been altered, such as converting data or disabling various extensions during the upload process. It can be managed individually for each virtual machine through settings to avoid system overload.
To strengthen the anti-counterfeiting of 5nine Cloud Security, the system can now check the packet size and payload length for all packets entering the system. This can prevent potential situations, such as a buffer overflow attack that can allow one virtual machine to write to the memory of another virtual machine.
3- BETTER FIRE PROTECTION WITH RECEIPT OF IP ADDRESS
Enhance your security with a new IP address matching option to identify a specific server in the filtering rules. 5nine Cloud Security can now check whether incoming or outgoing network traffic is coming from a specific local IP address.
This option can be used to ensure that certain network protocols only go over certain virtual network adapters, or to force all SQL Server traffic to migrate to a specific virtual machine with a static IP address.
4- AUTOMATIC AND SCHEDULE FIRE MODE RULES
Improve control of the system and its settings by setting time frames for firewall rules. Many organizations, such as financial institutions, may provide remote access (RDP) to virtual machines during trading, but in the evening they may want to disable these connections.
You can avoid manually executing these daily security best practices by using rules and scheduling tools to define, filter, and tune virtual machine usage. This enterprise-class feature is implemented in the controller, hiding its scheduler from disabling or tampering with attempts, and also provides local time zone support for hosts shared across multiple data centers.
5- BETTER DATACENTER INTEGRATION SUPPORT FOR FLEXIBLE FRAMEWORK
Manage and configure any custom frame type for traffic rules. The type and size of the frame depends on the specific hardware manufacturer and may prevent service packs from connecting to network devices.
They need to be defined and pre-configured in the system, demonstrating integration and advanced networking capabilities for businesses.
6- MONITORING THE AVAILABILITY OF THE FIFTH PILOT SAFETY COMPONENT
You can be sure that certain 5nine Cloud Security services are available and healthy with new host space monitoring capabilities.
The system monitors the health status of components, including a host service, antivirus service, a change block monitoring service, and a 5-nin Hyper-V virtual switch filtering extension.
Now IT administrators can see the current status of components from the console and view the history of status changes for a particular host without having to manually check each service. Up to 5nine Cloud Security filtering logs have been improved by adding new sorting options such as VLAN.
