By Google, nearly 50 percent of Internet users search for videos related to a product or service before visiting a store. 81 percent of people are convinced they are buying a product or service by watching the brand video, says Trigger. Clearly, video is quite important and should be a key part of your marketing strategy.
In knowing the meaning of the video, you can really get frustrated with the thumbnail that Facebook automatically selects for great content. How do you entice your audience to click and watch the video if the thumbnail doesn’t invite?
Fortunately for us, we have the ability to manually change the video thumbnail on the platform. To get rid of this awful default image and increase your views, follow the instructions below change your Facebook video thumbnail.
Use the library of videos uploaded on your business Facebook page in the navigation menu on the left.
Then click on the video with the thumbnail you want to edit.
When the entire video is displayed on the screen, click the three dots in the upper right corner (drop-down menu) and select Edit Video.
Once in the edit box, select the thumbnail for Video Info on the right side of the video.
In the Thumbnail window, you can choose one of three options:
- Choose one of the many default images that Facebook has automatically created for you:
- Select a custom image to download from your computer, for example, after creating a custom thumbnail graphic image in Canva or Photoshop.
- Or third, you can go through all the frames of the uploaded video and choose what you want.
After completing these steps, you now have a new saved thumbnail for your Facebook video!
Do you need to start marketing your business on social media, but not sure how to get started? Or maybe you’ve submitted content but don’t seem to be getting the results you want.
