We would like to thank the organizers and everyone we met Advanced factories in 2021 for once again a great event! Advanced Factory’s annual event in Barcelona will cover the latest developments in industrial automation and industry 4.0. If you missed this year’s event, here’s a quick summary as well as PAL Robotics highlights.

Advanced Factory aims to bring together the most innovative companies in the fields of industrial automation, robotics, machine tools and digital manufacturing, together with technologies that enable the promotion of industrial competitiveness through new business models, new production processes and the implementation of Industry 4.0. The event includes the Factory Innovation Theater, which showcases the exhibitors ’latest innovations. In addition, the Factories of the Future awards are held annually, recognizing work and excellence in industry.

Advanced Factorys 2021 began with an opening ceremony featuring performances by Jordi Llinares, Albert Planas, Albert Castellanos, Fernando Guldrís, Jaume Collbon and Salvador Giró. Nebext Company CEO Albert Planas and Advanced Factories General Manager presented the session and welcomed congressional attendees and speakers to the event. During the opening, Jordi Llinares, Deputy Director for the Digitalisation of Industry and Collaborative Environments, and the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism reaffirmed the significant investments that will be made in future funding for digitization and sustainable development.

The PAL Robotics team participated in Advanced Factories together with us TIAGo Base AMR (automated mobile robot) with its various configurations, StockBot inventory tracking and data collection solution, and robot ARI, a social humanoid of events and public spaces.

We presented live presentations of the TIAGo Base and its configurations, including TIAGo Delivery and TIAGo Desinfection, and participated in various presentations. Our team was also ready to explain more and give advice on implementing our solutions. If you miss them, don’t worry, you can approxof take contact with us Bask for more.

Presentations by PAL Robotics at the Advanced Factory 2021 – Industry 4.0 Congress

Our team had the pleasure of participating in various discussions and presentations at the event. These were:

Intralogistics and Mobile Robots: Industry 4.0 Congress

Jordi Pagès, Director of Intralogistics, presented the EU project here SIMBIOTIT which was recently completed and in which we collaborated with various partner organizations in Catalonia.

Local partners included ZANINI, Eurecat, PAL Robotics, PROMAUT, Industria de Robotica i Informatica Industrial (IRI).

SIMBIOTS sought to strengthen innovation for efficient and sustainable production in Catalonia by deploying a network of capacities and facilities that will serve to streamline and strengthen the industrial value chain. The overall goal is to apply robots to industrial processes and applications by creating common workspaces between people and people that ensure safety and improve the ergonomics of workers.

The TIAGo robot was also on display Eurecat a booth that repeats one of the presentations of this successful collaborative project, assisted by a co-worker.

Health Industry to Facilitate Economic Engines: Industry 4.0 Congress

Sofia Battilana, Relations and Events Manager, was introduced at the Industry 4.0 Congress

From the experience of PAL robotics QUICK OFF project, collaboration with ACCERION to address problems encountered during the pandemic, such as the collapse of health centers, congestion of health care personnel, the rapid spread of Covid-19, and the maintenance of social distance.

For this project, existing PAL robotic solutions in healthcare – TIAGo Delivery and TIAGo Conveyor, integrations over the TIAGo Base robot were implemented, enabling the development of PAL Robotics automated navigation systems for the accurate delivery of medicines and medical supplies. as well as the transfer of bins in hospitals. This was helpful in improving efficiency and reducing the social interaction of health care staff with patients, reducing the number of nosocomial infections.

AMRs against COVID-19: Health Intralogistics: Factory Innovation Theater

Alexandre Saldes Barbera, Director of Innovation and Business Development at PAL Robotics, presented examples of use cases and how they have used and benefited from our intralogistics AMR TIAGo Base product. TIAGo Base is able to create an environmental map with its laser sensors and be placed in space at all times – the robot’s autonomous navigation allows the robot to move to any point on the map, always avoiding obstacles.

Alexandre also introduced TIAGo Base features, such as to allow the expansion panel to be added various configurations on top of the robot and charging station as well as robot specifications such as payload. Use cases in factories, hotels, hospitals, laboratories and hospitals were also included.

Career Opportunities in Robotics and Automation: Factory Innovation Theater

Here, CEO Francesco Ferro presented the PAL Robotics team – emphasizing collaboration and team expertise in areas such as navigation, software, electronics, production, training and community, as well as plans to continue the team’s growth.

PAL Robotics’ TIAGo Base, StockBot and ARI robots

TIAGo Base AMR is an indoor delivery solution for intralogistics that is suitable for several sectors, such as industry, healthcare and hospitality.

The StockBot inventory tracking and data collection solution is used by top vendors around the world and is one of the most mature in the market.

ARI is a social humanoid robot designed for reception tasks in organizations and suitable for events, training and public spaces.
