Barbie switches pink with a green durable fashion name called ”Barbie loves the sea‘, made of really great plastic.

This summer, Barbie is closer to the sea than ever. Osana Mattelin’s vision If you want to use 100% recycled, recyclable, or bio-based plastic materials by 2030, the bodies of four new dolls – each with a different silhouette and skin color – will be carved using 90% recycled ocean-bound plastic pieces.

Their environmental friendliness is also reflected outwards, as even their beach-ready outfit, accessory and assembly are made from recycled materials without sparing quality.

“Mattelissa we give the next generation the opportunity to explore the wonders of childhood and realize their full potential, ”shared Richard Dickson, President of Mattel. “We take this responsibility seriously and will continue to do our part so that children too can inherit a world full of potential.”

From doll-sized steps, the launch comes hand in hand with the new Barbie vlog Barbie talks about how we can all protect the planet.

Summer collection also includes a startup player and beach shack play set, made from materials that would otherwise become waste.
