Ignite in September 2018, Microsoft announced a new one role-based certificates to help you and your career stay abreast of today’s business requirements. They develop a learning program to better provide the skills you need, to prove your expertise to employers and your peers, and to get the recognition and opportunities you deserve. After passing Microsoft Azure Solutions Specialists exam as well Azure Developer Associate exam, Microsoft Azure Administrator certificate and Microsoft Azure Basics test. I decided to sit down Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert test.
To get Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert title, you must pass two exams, MS-100: Microsoft 365 Identity and Services and MS-101: Microsoft 365 Mobility and Security, as well as one the following five preconditions:
I am now so happy and grateful that I passed MS-100: Microsoft 365 Identity and Services. I thought I would share my experience with this post to help you prepare and deal with it MS-100 exam successfully.
In this exam I got something around 59 questions together with 2 case studies, and the total duration of the experiment is 180 minutes. The questions correspond pretty much to the skills measured below.
Candidates for this exam are Microsoft 365 Enterprise administrators who are involved in evaluating, designing, migrating, deploying, and managing Microsoft 365 services. They perform Microsoft 365 tenant management roles for the company, including its identity, security, compliance, and supporting technologies.
This exam is intended for candidates who have work knowledge of Microsoft 365 workloads and should have been an administrator for at least one Microsoft 365 workload (Exchange, SharePoint, Skype for Business, Windows as a Service). Candidates also have a working knowledge of networking, server management, and IT fundamentals such as DNS, Active Directory, and PowerShell.
This test measures your ability to complete the technical topics listed below based on the latest update from Microsoft:
Design and implement Microsoft 365 services (25-30%)
- Manage domains
- Design a Microsoft 365 implementation
- Configure the Microsoft 365 lease and subscription
- Manage your Microsoft 365 subscription and tenant health
- Plan for user and data migration
Manage username and roles (35-40%)
- Design identity strategy
- Plan for identity synchronization using Azure AD Connect
- Manage identity synchronization with Azure AD Connect
- Manage Azure AD identities
- Manage user roles
Manage access and authentication (20-25%)
- Manage authentication
- Enable multi-factor authentication (MFA)
- Set permissions for the application
- Implement external user privileges on Microsoft 365 loads
Design Office 365 workloads and applications (10-15%)
- Plan to deploy an Office 365 workload
- Plan for deploying Office 365 applications
Practice, Practice, and Read … I can’t stress enough that hands-on experience and an understanding of the concepts of identity use will help you pass this exam. In fact, when I was preparing for this exam, I didn’t have any preparation material on hand. Microsoft did not release any preparation options.
